Let me extract your ideas into fewer words:
Teleportation exists, but is road based.
Crossroads work only interconnected with a net of milestone-ways.
Milestones can be Waylay'ed, so if your warproute goes throu this stone - you'll drop out of warp. Same happens if theres is a palisade, b-wall, cliff or water in the way.
Waylay'ing costs LP / leaves scents , or both.
Also i'd add that:
It would be good if you could either teleport via such a way, or follow it like current milestone ways.(if you wanna hunt/forage or just out of TW to warp)
it would be even better, if milestones had "external waypoint", wich means that a char is going to a point near the stone(for ex: up to 3 tiles away) instead of goin straight into it, wich would make cart/wagon travelling possible.
It would be truely awesome with bridges, increased inter-milestone maximum distance and cartography involved.
i'd also add a feature, that a warp bailout in case of waylay'ing would spawn you on random location between w-layed stone, and a preveous one, so you'll not going to find yourself already surrounded. just like you could spot the trap earlier or later.
If that is so - I'd love that! Thats going to liven-up the gamaplay nicely. +1
But we still need to figure out what to do with HF's...
PS: A separate thread!!!!
