Linen Tent?

Postby SaintGilbert » Thu Jul 28, 2011 1:02 am

How about a tent or yurt about the size of a log cabin, requiring 30 blocks of wood, 50 sticks, and 40 linen? It could be disassembled into two pieces (so it could fit into a cart), lifted, and reassembled like a raft. It would not need stone to be built on, but it would need a 5x5 cleared area, and while assembled would decay (unless on stone).

It would be as big as a log cabin, but much easier to destroy. It could be used by nomads who don't want to settle in a village, or by explorers. Maybe even give it an ownership radius just large enough to hold it?

Not a half bad idea, but I would like the game to stay 'in character' as much as possible. (Yes, I know the Scandinavians didn't have tobacco.)
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

The Scandinavian Sami people had some nomadic reindeer herders. :)
