Curiosities such as Simple Idols and other things along those lines are still present.

Simple idols aren't worthwhile, lets not fool ourselves. Let me correct myself:
what meaningful purpose does high quality stone have?

Scythes are better quality than stone axes because they can spiral the metal...

Eventually, yes, metal tools will become much better than a stone axe, but that does take time and a lot of effort, something new players aren't necessarily going to have access to.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I agree, but I dont think you are going far enough. Here is what i mean: I have noticed something about this game. there is only 2 or 3 versions of everything. Every single item can only be upgraded one single time ( I'm not talking about quality at all) To say it as simple as possible; if it isn't a timber house, then its a stone mansion. if it isn't a bone saw, its a metal one. Its not like there's really a choice in it. if you have access to the materials you all are going to make the same things. There is not really as much room for customization and just flat out options as there could and should be. Why cant newbs who have absolutely no access to metal whatsoever because they don't even know how to domesticate a sheep, make some sort of weapon like a sharpened bone on a stick (some cavemen call it a spear) and fucking use it? I see no problem or excuse why that option doesn't exist. I'm not demanding this be available to me now, I'm not naive and i know that the makers are busy as hell. I'm just letting you know one of your play-testers' opinion so when you actually make this game, you have some positive constructive criticism to help you make a better game.

Afaik the models and programming for spears are done and just not available, if that makes you feel any better. Same for quite a few other things.

I do agree axes need to be able to achieve more quality but I don't think bone axes are viable without destroying the stone one as being useful. Bones shatter when struck hard enough where the teeth of saw are not being impacted. Your example of a troll bone could be an exception. Being a mythical creature maybe it does have harder bones and could be shaped as such. I would not be opposed to its bones being unique and capable of making a higher q axe.

This would be awesome to see. I mean you can do it with Saw's why not be able to this with Axes. Adds a little more depth if you ask me.

TeckXKnight wrote:Sounds good but how about Bone axes yield half their quality in value. So a q300 Bone Axe is adding only 150 to the formula, similar to how clay cauldrons work.

Thats a better idea because if people could go around with Q100 bone axes from bears the second world day the Q of things people where making would be going way faster and the in-game economy would be crap.
