I like the shark/big fish idea, but you should have to carry it or place it in a boat slot. So if you caught one you'd automatically lift it from the water.

i think lakes should vary in size from what they are now to alot bigger (i mean alot bigger)

As with most suggestions about adding more things, I think more recipes are needed to use the resources already in game, than adding new resources. There is already a large variety of fish, the main issue there aren't really very many recipes to use the different fish. Same goes with some vegatables.
