Geographical features

Postby FLO » Fri Aug 22, 2014 9:09 pm

I don't believe this has been suggested but hills glorious hills... where are they?

Hills are a variation of mountains (possibly the same size i want mountains to be bigger!)
Also hollows and valleys (the opposite of hills and mountains)
Possible forageables.

Volcanos
Increased soil Q
lava? you decide i can't!

Ponds & surface pools
more frequent near mudflats, swamps and rivers possibly? (basing off DF drainage system ;) )
Surface pools: same mechanics and underground ones

Ponds: Much smaller (max size, 5x5)
Forageables: Pond reeds (ingredient to several new stews), watercress (seeds / flowers (see below)), other aquatic foragable for you to input...
(possible suggestion: watercress is farmed in all shallow water tiles / Dex 1 per cress)

Bob dole agrees, but since swamps are technically stagnant ponds, I don't think it will be implemented.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Shallow pounds. They'll spawn clay but have them all q10 because you can't really get high quality on something that's so small.

Imagine a small pond (2x2, or 5x5) with an oak besides it, two chairs and a table, neatly decked with forks, spoons and porcelain plates, and two hearthlings sitting there in a ''relaxed'' set of clothes.

One has a pipe, the other is eating some delicious creamy cock.

Oh, and for good measure, make them dick shaped, just to stay in HnH universe.

You mean... pond, oak, table, 2 chairs and 2 dead bodies without heads? Relaxing still :)
