Optimization

Postby RaidenKoizuma » Thu Feb 25, 2016 2:42 am

So, I already had a previous post about this in "Critique and Ideas" But I've been looking through the forums a lot. I see so much about "the client is not optimized for performance." It seems everyone is feeling bad lag. There's input delay, a memory leak it seems (not confirmed but from some personal testing the CPU usage just keeps going up as time goes on). I really think it would be in the best interest to start optimizing..

Aware. Not a bug.

There's only input lag if your framerate is terrible.

Seconded. Please optimise. It is really, really hard to enjoy when FPS skips to <10.

Client performance has been bad for many many years and they havent done anything.

As I have stated in more than one patch note: Client performance is our number one priority atm.

Well I say that having witnessed a client with low fps and the same internet connection as I have on my computer with permanent input lag of at least a second or so. What causes your ping to be so high, is that just when your net is borked or the server is under heavy load?
