Well, you have to hide yourself. Consider it as sleeping in a forest - some kind of tent which built from branches and such and is hid from the view once built but decays extremely fast would be nice. Boulders with an strongbox option and ability to bury your stuff is also nice.
What`s for looking-through-stuff, yeah, you`re right with shooting. But what one has to do with things that are behing walls/houses/bears?
