Artificial Caves and Mining Cave Walls

Postby Kubius » Wed Dec 29, 2010 9:48 pm

I have another stunning idea. I call it Hovel Carving.
Wiki style entry:

In-Game Text
____________________________________________________________________________

Hovel Carving

"Now y'see son, not all cavemen are primitive."

Hovel Carving allows you to erect artificial cave entrances and also to mine and seal cave walls.

What it Gives
____________________________________________________________________________

Adventure > Cavescaping > Carve Cave Wall (only for natural caves, use Mine for artificial ones)

Adventure > Cavescaping > Seal Cave Wall (natural caves only)

Adventure > Cavescaping > Build Cave Home Door (new cave to modify)

(everything from here down is artificial cave only)

ability to right-click cave wall and click "Seal"

Adventure > Cavescaping > Build Rock Shelf
(carves out a 4x4 hole in the wall, requires 5 rock wall in a T pattern and the upper part of the T being the shelf's opening)

Adventure > Cavescaping > Build Rock Chair
(same as normal wood chair basically)

Adventure > Cavescaping > Build Rock Cauldron
(clay cauldron like cauldron)

YAY artificial caves!
"Normal" is only a difficulty level in video games - Aso11
Jackard: Koya only raises the lynx so he can molest it later
Koya: What means "molest" ? Translator cannot translate it or do it with no logics...
"And no im not native to english, I was born in the usa." - A very bad troll.

How awesome would it be, if u could make a mini settlement next to sodom(name any big village), then make artificial cave/tunnel in a house and break in into sodom(name the big village again).

The big robbery!

It appears I have indeed come up with a good idea but waiting for one of the holy duo to chime in.

I really do think this is a good idea, it has a lot of merit.

It's not something that's 'needed' or even 'wanted' yet, but thinking 2 steps ahead this would be ridiculously fun. Reminds me of Dark Cloud to be honest, and I fucking LOVED that game.

Especially now with claims and such in mines. Whole villages living just underneath the ridge you stand on while out hunting.

Cave doors would be nice.
But, I don't really see how actually building a cave would work with this game.
