A "select field to harvest" command

Postby supercharazard » Thu Dec 30, 2010 7:25 pm

A very simple action, beside harvest, is multi harvest.

You click it, then when you click and drag on the ground, a highlighted area appears, when you release the mouse button, your character automatically harvests all crops in the box.

Another one, it multi plant, which is the same only instead of harvesting, it plants whatever seeds are inventory in the highlighted box until you run out of seeds or it has planted in all plantable tiles.

VERY useful.

dont insult him mate.

it does sound like a sort of mini-macro. initially i thought it woul be selecting a tile instead of a crop to harvest from, works mostly the same but would require more clicking

I might be insulting somebody but I am merely a warrior of truth. from now on thios goes in my sig field damnit

And its not like a 'mini macro'.. macros are made to give you LPs when you are not at the computer. This sounds like it would just ease up on the carpal tunnel syndrome and tedium of faaaarrmrmmmming blauh

As much as I hate most repetitive actions, this really takes it too far...

I mean, do you honestly expect anybody to sit and wait for the character to harvest?

instant-afk would be the only result, unless you've got someone to chat with...

I guess you're kinda right, though it would be worth it in my opinion simply for the lower number of clicks.
Being a dude that draws a lot of drawings AND plays a lot of games, I try to keep the stress on my hands under control, but sometimes they hurt. Haven can be bad especially when farming.

Maybe limit the amount of tiles that can be selected to something like 5-10 tiles.

and it would be ideal for chatting, and chatting while doing stuff makes this a lot more bearable.
