We should be able to have a hot air balloon.
MATERIALS:

50 Linen cloth (because its safer than walking)
20 Boards
40 Blocks of Wood

would be fuelled, by like 1 block of wood = 30secs, charcoal 150 seconds, boards 60 seconds, and putting a WHOLE log in = 10 minutes

This should be able to be safe from ALL animal attacks, i am not very sure about bows, maybe only ranger bows can hit it?
The balloon would have HHP, about 5000, once its been decreased to 0, the balloon crashes and hits your SHP VERY low, possibly knocking you out, or if you are VERY weak, KILLING YOU!!!!
