Solution to the new "wall jumping"

Postby rozn » Mon Feb 14, 2011 1:24 pm

Now people spawn alts and place hearths right next to palisaded wall to get inside. Although yes noob alts cant do much, but they can do enough. They can place hearth fires all over spawn alts plow where they can, chop tree's, and be an annoyance.

Instead there are 3 ideas:
1. Hearth fires can not spawn inside an enclosed palsiade.

2. Hearth fires can't spawn on other people's claims.

3. Can only spawn 2 alts at a hearth fire or can only spawn 1 space away so the palisade wall takes up one space and you can't go over it.

I personally think we should go with #1 because unless you claim every piece of land in your village then #2 is non-effective. Personally people want plots and their own space to claim stuff.

Number 2 but replace claim with village. What's an alt gonna inside a village claim without membership anyway? Maybe they come back a week later with blackskills and only if their HF stayed inside your walls the entire time? So check your walls.

#2 will fix everything.

I disagree with #1 and #3.

You can't spawn at a hearthfire under village claim unless the HF owner is a member of that village.

I tried wall jumping an unclaimed palisaded area to no avail even after creating 20 characters.

That depends on the target zone, since it randomly chooses a spot around it.
AD did this with shape's palisade to get in and steal the keys, even though they could already get in by digging towards the mine (these mole rats dig everywhere!)...

Mining=New siege method.

So it randomly chose one half of the spawn radius 20 times? Seems very unlikely.

I thought this was supposed to have been fixed a LONG time ago.
