First you need a cow.
Make cows drop cowdung. Little shits that need to be collected and can be spread across fields to up the quality of the crops a little bit.
This will not affect the soil q at all, it will only, either make the crop go up a point in q, or make the +2/-5 go to perhaps +2/-3 or something (or both), to even out the general q of the harvest.
Might be a tradable commodity for villages to smaller local farmers.

A clever idea if you don't see past the truth.
If we had cow fertilizer, well guys, you know how fertilizer is made? It is basically cow poop.
So now we have a world with cow poop that we use to fertilize the soil, sounds great, until we think of the larger implications.
If we had cow poop, then that means that our guys would also have to poop. What then? I think this would make the game a lot less serious, jokesters would run around and fling poop at one another, put their own feces in cupboards next to the food, ect. Also, if we have fertilizer, then what of the water? There is a thing called run off that would poison the water and the fish. This suggestion is an enviornmental disaster waiting to happen. Don't implement it jorb.
