Furniture

Before Jackard sighs deeply and directs me to the search function, yes I used it, and as well as all the ideas being old, ie pre world 4, none of them seem to address what I am thinking of.

I would like some way to identify "off time", which recharges travel weariness etc without actually being in bed, sleeping and offline.
I would love a rocking chair, in which I could sit, sipping my wine or beer while smoking my pipe and generally considering the world at large.
Also clothes that identify.."rest" time.. which add a buff to the above.. at present everyone basically spends all their time in full dress even in bed, and it would add a reason to make silk other than the space and buffs of a merchants robe etc.. or ranger gear.
A beautiful silk dressing gown, to wear around the house, that adds to your charisma and recharges travel weariness and HHP points, or maybe earns more lp for any curio you have in while in this space .

It just a idea, and will probably be slammed as being girly or something by all those guys who wear steel head to toe at all times, but there are times when I'm just chatting to village members or neighbours, and it would be nice to utilise this time, in a similar way to that which the table and feasting works, off time = recharge time, maybe bonuses for the amount of people sitting together.

And yes there could be penalties to other stats from wearing these clothes or sitting in this chair, to aggressive abilities etc. You're chilling out, getting the benefits, but also getting the negatives of not being on your guard.

Take this to the limit, sit your rocking chair in front of a roaring fireplace, with a beautiful chandalier, and a deftly woven carpet at your feet. Just as the table for feasting can be decorated, the off time space could be filled with items that give you a buff.
This could lead to the creation of Inns... Public houses that have this in place, where people can gather and take advantage of the rich and comfortable atmosphere while enjoying a pint or two ...
This would add an increase to the need for quality items and trading, outside of the purely martial, and in my point of view, anything that can be manufactured and sold, is a plus in this game.

Anyway, just a thought... and now Jackard do your worst :D

Edit: Yes I know there is something similar in the Symbel feasting, but this could be a different angle on it, a new profession maybe... I dont know... but it would be nice to say, "meet me at the Inn at Brogdar" and actually go there
Can anybody fly this thing?

lol.

some of this stuff would be alright, i would like the silk garments that would increase TW recovery when sleeping, or possibly a side effect would be if you sat at the rocking chair in it, it would slowly decrease TW just like that.

Oh, so that way Nao & friends won't have to run around trying to find large groups of people to slaughter? That's a great idea!

Really though, I'm all for some sort of furniture, but nothing extraordinary beyond the aesthetic uses. It'd be cool to flaunt maybe, but little else.
And human interaction in this game will never, EVER work in such an idyllic manner.
Back, I guess

If you want to go all out with party atmospheres just make it so you can have parties. Give various bonuses based on qualities. It would be like the bonfire but more. Also it would allow for the use of alts/bots to create a perpetual party where you just have to feed the party wood (bonfire) and have all the character have ridiculous Charisma. Though making it so you just have to have alts sitting rocking chairs to increase TW losses would be easier.

I do like the idea of more in-home furniture and clothes, but clothes shouldn't give lp buffs, because then everybody would wear them all the time, not just while wandering around the village.

Sleeping clothes do sound good though. Those could actually give small lp buffs while sleeping, although they would be quite expensive (silk pajamas?). Tea does it, so why not clothes?

I'm quite insulted actually, you're a mod, check my accounts, I have two, this one and another called Draig.
I'm not that desperate/sad/pathetic.

and tbh if you look at what was written "Great post! It's very nice. Thank you so much for your post." so up my rear end as to be positively vomit inducing, I would say its more likely to be a double bluff by someone who WANTS me to look desperate/sad/pathetic.

In which case, score one to them, but I dont give a toss.

The only way I would see using this is to change clothes right before logging off to get that bonus. I guess this would be less tedious with a wardrobe, but I don't see how it would make gameplay better than by giving more clothing (that you wouldn't see much since smart people wear armor in public) and by people possibly logging off with their everyday clothing outside of their inventory.

While I am not against this suggestion, I think there are better things that could be added to the game.

Also, the second post is from a unique ip.
