Good idea, but instead of the strength of the animals spawned, this "civilization level" should control the amount of animals spawned. Since animals usually don't go to heavily populated areas, or walk through walls.

i like rainbows to.

well thats not all of it. i mentioned the annoyingness of a L5 bear outside my walls everytime my alt logs on.
+i think it would make more interesting gameplay. and i read about some complaints that mordor was always used for level grind while colse to the middle was quality grind, well with the curio's i think this could work well.

EDIT: @above post. (cant edit in qoutes)
that would be bad as a big city. (take pandemonium for eg.) would *never* have any good spawn near them. without the way you suggested they'd still have animals to kill and hunt. but if they want the more dangerous and higher q, then they would have to go out into an uninhabited forest to get the big ones.

with your way they would have to go out into an uninhabited forest just to get a rabbit

lol. never when i log one who could kill it. just when i log my alt.. not to sure if it actually is L5 but i assume so as it knows when my alt logs on and stands at the xroad accordingly..

as this dosnt seem to be going anywhere for mow, how did the system end. i read through a fair few of the old announcments but i guess i missed this part

Maybe I'm missing something but AFAIK we still have civilization levels and wilderness. If you're a certain distance from a village you get Lvl X bears, Lvl X Deer, Lvl 6(?) Boar, Lvl 4 Fox. The closer you get to civilization the lower those levels go. Was that way in W3, beginning of W4, think it's still that way now, I haven't honestly MET a bear outside our village. Also it seems to be from the actual idol, not any claim you've spread.

holy god really. the way i read it. it sounds so much different to what we have now lol if this is true im so embarrased
if this is so then perhaps it should be made more clearer where it is defined more visibly. like happiness in the area. or something akin to the civil/wild. factor in salem (the night/day thingy) :?

Its true, all true. Only difference from w3 is the cap on animal levels, so no more X foxes or boars. I'm still careful to keep away from idols so I can get those X deer as I have seen lower ones closer to idols in w5.
