Animal bait + magic

Animal bait, summons, necromancy which uses either bones in the inventory or discarded bones of other dead players.
Offensive magic like fireballs, possibly with stackable 'beautiful dreams'.
a skill for surviving player attacks.
player to animal transformations which offer positive and negative attributes:
examples
beaver = chops trees faster, but moves slowly.
dog = moves faster and can dig well
dolphin = can swim
eagle = flies offering some speed, and allows obstacles to be ignored. - can't attack.
anteater = can raid anthills without getting any aggros
I was thinking of possibly an animal (like a bear) that moves slow but gets some strength bonus. Not entirely sure.

Magic of transmutation would be really over powered if not regulated carefully, say a steady stamina loss, no item consumption (such as tea), transformation back to human if stamina hits 10%, and could be the result of alchemy requiring lots of items.

Just a fun idea, I think.

I like HnH because it only touched on the fantasy world. Just enough for flavor is best. So many games have magic and the fantastical to the point its normal. I'm sorry I don't think it fits.

Well simple fix of Eagle is don't allow morphing back into a human on claimed/village land so its only a travel/spy mechanism. Admittedly that's kind of a lipstick on a pig fix here from concepts that have 'game break' written all over em.

As for H&H being non-magical that's more due to time constraints on the devs, they never implemented the 'Wryd' system they had originally planned which would have moved us much more in the direction of overt magic, all be it not over-powered fireballs but still magic. Magic is going to be in Salem so I could totally see the Witches in their having powers like this, perhaps the OP will enjoy being a Witch/Warlock and we can enjoy burning them at the stake.

Well, according to the OP, you could just turn into an eagle and even if you weren't allowed to turn into a human over village/personal land, then what happens when you hit 10% stam? Potjeh said it best. Also, kitties.

At first I wanted to make a thread to suggest anteaters that wander around, fight ants and raid anthills -> stealing your ants. But now I don't.
