Log Decay

Postby Resture » Fri Jun 28, 2013 6:13 am

Logs on cliffs is very unattractive...
Why not add a decay to logs that are outside?
I am keeping it pretty simple, and yes, I did a search for a thread about this.
Someone else can elaborate.

Yea or the very least make it so you can grab the logs when they fall on a cliff. I need to make my area super pretty and I have this ugly tall tree on the cliff ruining everything!

1. Plant tree on west side of enemy wall
2. Chop down
3. Enjoy the pain of a tree showing on their wall

@OP think this was suggested again a few weeks ago...I'm not sure if you can destroy a log, but even if you can't reach it to pick it up you'll be able to destroy it.

Im against log decay. It would be much wiser to either allow the logs to be moved or simply not allow trees to spawn within fall distance of a cliff.

I feel like there should be some sort of cliff jumping/climbing skill anyway but I agree, there needs to be some way of removing logs from unreachable areas.

I agree. Logs should despawn when they are unattainable e.g. logs falling into ridges or any object with hitbox. I don't think it would be to hard to fix code wise either.
