New Food

Postby LadyV » Sun Jul 14, 2013 2:51 am

While on my hiatus I thought of a interesting idea for a new food. How about mulled wine? It has been around since Roman times so is int eh field of time. We already have regular wine and for the added spice we could use the hazlenuts, that are very limited in use. We already have the cauldron for heating. For the special ability how about a long awaited new PSY food? Maybe replace the blank buff wine gives with a PSY one. However to combat drinking abuse I als think we should double the wine effects duration. This would give a nice boost without being over powered.

What are your thoughts?

I think it would be better to lower the TW gained from drinking mulled wine compared to normal wine, and instead provide a larger psyche buff. getting FEPs from drinking wine is a bad idea since it's so easy to produce.

If you linked it to the use of bottles it would be far from easy to produce.

I read the part about blank buff and went "huh". was thinking about the actual buffs from wine not the fep from it.

I'm always up for new foods, especially foods that only have 1 stat tied to them. I always hate it when you eat a bunch of perception food and you get some lesser stat even if its higher than your perception(like getting int from the blueberry pie, agility from the aphid, strength from peas, or charisma from beets). +1

this would also have people growing more hazelnut trees

I have no problem lowering the TW benefit on it. Or are you saying give a better reduction?

As for being easy to produce I dont really think so. Yes you may be able to get hazlenuts but they are a slow growing tree and to attain high quality will take time. If you just added poor q one to your wine you would, like all quality formula, lower the end result.

Right now we get a blank FEP from wine. My suggetion is remove that and replace it with PSY.

That's a good idea. I agree.

I think it's a good idea, but there's been a lot of good ideas that just don't get developed because of dev resources.

GL though :)

Not bad.

My only complaint is I don't think we need more foods on ingredients that already have buttloads of uses (wine, for it's production effort, already has alot of consumption or usage: vinegar, raisins, and wine itself is consumed often once it's in use). I'd prefer something more with frying pans (like roasting meat with onions, or frying eggs with onions, maybe chants and other stuff).
