My thoughts exactly.

Double moron bonus!

Let's add more single use crap just for the sake of it. Not to forget the fact that aloe vera does not grow in European climate...

Village/Claim decay created the demand for lumber. Was claim decay a good thing?

Much as I hated the repair process? I think yes. I don't miss it now that it's gone, but if they had made it possible for new folks to repair walls, it would have been a great benefit. I wish they had done a decay reduction, instead of elimination.

I didn't mind it, but I'm happier now that it's gone. However, there was a suggestion for a charm or structure that you could build to prevent decay ticks from happening in its area of effect, and I would have preferred that solution instead of it being removed altogether.

TheYatesMachine wrote:I'm not saying there needs to be a tutorial/newbie area or anything of the sort, but one awesome device that occurs to me would be something like Civpedia from the Civilization series. In game, you can look up explanations on how game mechanics function. It shouldn't be a necessity to have a wiki opened up on one side of the screen as you play on the other.

To the extent that there was one, the original "game design" actually called for precisely that, a "Havenopedia", as I had been playing a lot of civ 4 at the time. A system like that is however extremely maintenance intensive (it needs to be kept up to date when we change mechanics and whatnot) so we haven't bothered (and it's not currently on our list of priorities). I'd rather write descriptive tooltips for the buffs, truth to be told.
