As spectacle says, this isn't even gameplay. The things that just take a minute are particularly annoying since that isn't enough time to do something else. There are people who bring realism into suggestion topics, but that's just because they neglected to read the stickied topic:

Indeed, who cares about realism and such if it makes for boring gameplay (or unnecessary amounts of blank time in your gameplay)?
Of course, this isn't something like a beat'em up game where you have to move, jump, and attack constantly. Haven & Hearth is based more on building something to your liking (then endless grinding once you finish that). I'm sure there are ways to put more focus on the creative construction aspect rather than the needless waiting and grinding.
