Larger production value versions of these items should go faster. Portable meat grinder, not so portable meat grinder, maybe takes 4 slots, can't be put in wagons and such, does all your meat at a time for simply double the time the other one takes to do 1.

Give us an actual reason to use things within a whole village, having a food mansion/bakery should be useful for bulk items, and bulk items should be faster. It's a pain in the ass and I find that most of this game is "Waiting The Game: Online", wait for this ,wait for that, almost all of the things you wait for are the BORING as shit things to begin with, spice it up!

Well, it WOULD be nice to drastically reduce the time to do stuff, but what about macros that rely on repetitive actions? If those actions were made almost instant, imagine how much of an advantage macro users would get...maybe even to make hunting seem like a joke?

Alternately, for many tasks that use timers, give us something we have to do to accomplish that task. The hourglass is a time sink, and there needs to be a time sink to make things take real time to do. If this game had instant build/craft options, I'd be bored with it already. If it had activities or some form of interaction that had to take place with most (not all) activities that currently have a timer in order to perform well (IE - Not purely material/character skill based) that, to me, is a superior solution to just making everything instant gratification.

Oh, you know, that one that people imagine when they don't actually know that there is nothing good to macro but their emotions tell them all the decent players are just using macros 24/7. Same old shit.

Then I guess we need to start crafting hammers and nails before we can even build a chair, maybe add bone glue and/or rope to the recipe while we're at it. Using crappy stone/stick tools would produce q0 everything. Using stone tools would also have a chance of the stone smashing upon use with a 5% chance of stone shrapnel ricocheting into your eye, causing permanent blindness.

As spectacle says, this isn't even gameplay. The things that just take a minute are particularly annoying since that isn't enough time to do something else. There are people who bring realism into suggestion topics, but that's just because they neglected to read the stickied topic:

Indeed, who cares about realism and such if it makes for boring gameplay (or unnecessary amounts of blank time in your gameplay)?

Of course, this isn't something like a beat'em up game where you have to move, jump, and attack constantly. Haven & Hearth is based more on building something to your liking (then endless grinding once you finish that). I'm sure there are ways to put more focus on the creative construction aspect rather than the needless waiting and grinding.

Here's something that kinda bugged me the other day, how many of you have gone and made say, 54 bars worth of coins? You get nothing for making coins except the joy of making them (no lp, ect ect to avoid a possible abuse) and yet, I sat there for not less than 15 minutes, more likely 30, just so that I'd have coins to put in a barter stand. Other than making nuggets/bars, what other 0 LP "craft" activities are there out there?

One needs neither hammer nor nails to make a chair. Nor bone-glue, all these things are nice, but a chunk of wood and a stone ax would get you there just as fast.

Using crappy stone/stick tools would produce q0 everything. Using stone tools would also have a chance of the stone smashing upon use with a 5% chance of stone shrapnel ricocheting into your eye, causing permanent blindness.

Stone tools are not as crappy as you might imagine. In Ancient Ireland, stone axes were no better than Bronze ones at doing their jobs, bronze was preferred for it's prestige. Stone is a remarkably durable substance when chipped by someone who knows their job, and the event you describe about it ricocheting into your eye? Also not bounded in realism, a craftsman of tools knew how to create better equipment than that.
