flax seeds could be used for a source of industrial oil if there was a need for such a thing, or they could be ground up and used as an additive in bread. currently, fodder, grass, and planting flax are the only uses. fodder is a pretty acceptable use though, i mean there certainly aren't going to be any recipes for tea, tobacco, or hemp seeds (although hemp seeds would be great for oil or food additives as well, hulled hemp seeds are really delicious and very high in omega 3s).
carrots and beetroots are in a good amount of recipes, imo, the problem is that they grow so much faster than the peas and onions that are in a lot of those recipes. but you can just eat them raw.
not sure about the mussel thing, personally i've stopped gathering q10 mussels. wouldn't really mind some additional mussel recipes, but i'd prefer some recipes for salmon, pike, and sturgeon (other than fishsticks or roasting).
