Little things like this always bothered me

The problem with this is jorb is drawing sprites by hand instead of using models, makes animation difficult when you have all the different outfits.

I was unaware of this. I thought he used some awesome pixel program, cause I like his pixels.

if he used 'teamcoloring' and fewer outfits, or if outfits were less piecemeal, it would naturally be easier to animate sprites

I actually don't mind the whole icon action thing. Though animated itself would be interesting too.

As for the sounds, yeah it makes sense how that could be more of a side track than a gain. But would be a nice add in the future with spare time. Hearing twigs break when you're alone in the forest, or hearing the sound of water splashing from someone else's boat. :P

Any reason why you won't Jorb? Or rather haven't?

he decided to go with a different style, special effects instead of animations, you are asking him to redo the entire system why exactly???

I almost thought the subject title said something completely different. I thought: "Isn't that already in the ga- Oh wait".

But I digress, moving on. You have to be careful about these things! Putting in a little sound that plays every now and again might seem like a fine idea... and then get really. Really. Really annoying. So many sticks. All the time.

No clue what "teamcoloring" refers to. Some sort of recolorization method?

For the work to be feasible with just me doing the art, the choice stood between animations and equipment variation. I opted for the latter. I can think of a couple of ways to make animations easier -- not showing them from all the eight cardinal angles being one -- but I can't say I'm very excited about the prospect. Adding it once means you now have to do it every time you want to add a new piece of clothing.

theres not really any benefit to switching to animations, thats the kind of thing you plan out from the very start

Well then I guess it's too late to change, just always preferred it that way although I now see why it would be much harder than I thought. (or time consuming rather I suppose)
