Great point. No one would ever use beds if this were implemented.

Almost nobody uses them now, but I would still use them in places where unwanted people couldn't memorize me (ie. behind my village walls where I live).

Why?

If people could simply memorize you as you sleep with zero penalties, the bed would just be too useless, I think. No HP recovery, travel weariness recovery is pretty much a joke compared to wine, takes up space... Its best use is as a checkpoint to ensure you can log in where you logged off from if your hearth fire is somewhere else.

Suppose a claim has a timber house with 3 people sleeping inside. Someone trespasses and memorizes all 3 of them. Suppose they check back once every couple days and see that 2 of the people, Timmy and Billy, are always sleeping in their same beds while Mr. X is the only one who seems active. By being able to memorize them, they've stolen information about who's actually playing much like how checking a parchment is stealing information. So it could leave a theft scent or something, I don't really care. Just something summonable since it gives you valuable information about a settlement's villagers and routines, and beds would never ever be used if it were that easy.

I'd prefer if there were some way to tell if a theft scent came from something material or not if this also counted as a theft scent.
RIP
