I agree this should be prohibited as well - I can't think of a single legitimate reason why you'll need to put a house in front of a gate. I'm actually all for griefing more often than not, but this is far too easy and rather moronic about it.

And if that doesn't work, 2 strongboxes can do the job at griefing as well. And strongboxes are tough enough that you might as well try to break the wall instead of it. Oh yeah. 2 cornerpost works as well.

Now that people seen this, griefers everywhere is going to use this with no repercussions since jorb doesn't fist people are help people out anymore though not sure if it still applies now since Seal or claiming has defense against this.

Rozn, are you sure you can't walk between? I thought cabins have less than their foundation size in hitbox. Also CRs cannot be destroyed if the village has auth (but they can be blocked).

The thing is...

I can see using strongboxes to box someone into their gate. While griefing, its still plausible and consistent within the universe. On the other hand, making an entire /house/ in front of a gate stretches it beyond belief.

Maybe not making it able to build a house right next to a gate so you cant get out? Just a thought...

To the griefer who passed by our neighbors and did this.. really? I think J&L should fix this as if your inside is claimed and you dont got the bones to make bone glue or the rope and your hungry then you cant get rid of it. Atleast make it so you cant build it right up to the gate?

Well, while making the idea known to all has its disadvantages, it is also a way to pressure the developers to work on a solution to it. And that is griefing indeed. I hope loftar removes that house from the gate, because it's rather unfair.
