Considering the variety bonus I don't think that all recipes need to be fantastic. Fish sticks are meant as a catch all use for left-over fish. I've found it extremely useful when you have a couple of fillets left that you can't turn into a more meaningful fish dish.

No seriously, wouldn't you be better off with the fep reduction from eating multiple types of fish?

The only use I can see for sticks is reducing overabundant stock, which like i said is unimpressive

Erm, Zesty Brill? Its only 2.5 hunger per fep to fish sticks 5.

I hate brill because its a dex str food. And I put all my dex on an alt that doesn't need strength so they are almost worthless. Zesty Brill does the exact same thing except worse sense 70% of it is stuff I don't want compared to 50%. Fish sticks give Con Int which are both useful to any character.
