The reason we don't have more weapons is that the current combat system doesn't let them be different enough. So don't expect any new weapons till that changes.

This only sounds like a useful idea because you could position your opponent on the shore and drown them. Other than that it sounds like you have been playing too much Dwarf Fortress.

why not make the hammer give a huge agi debuff to compensate for its damage,Or make it it hurt armor more and do less damage to an actual hearthling.

In Dwarf Fortress a dwarf can fling a goblin a good distance with a good hit.

I have not seen a flying gobbo in along while since the newest Version.

True. That's why I turn on the older version every once in a while. /nostalgia

I didn't say blunt damage...i said blunt attack. Like in Chop and Cleave are for axe, sting and Valorous for swords and Blunt would be for the hammer so.....

Oh and it would be okay if it did 10000000 damage because no attacks use a sledgehammer as a weapon.

...yeah.

I actually think it can, what about adding something of an effect to the base attack other than just damage, like maybe removing more defense bar while doing less damage, or stealing initiative points or raising your advantage without the need to actually hit. the sledgehammer would be a stupid weapon tho, calling for one handed maces.

(not claiming any of the above effects are good ideas, just putting it out there because I'm not sure what you said about the combat system is correct.)

E: what about weapon types that will do some amount of damage regardless of defense bar, but drain less defense, weapons that could remove stamina, etc etc etc...
Before you take insult to this post, keep in mind that I am simply a warrior of truth.
