Old thread, I know...but skulls would be great to take from dead hearthlings. Make skull necklaces or new sacrifices to shrines, etc. Items crafted from skulls would add to learning ability or int. Like the necro robe does...or adds bonus to necro robe...

Problem is that it might encourage alt-farming for body parts. I'm not sure whether I like that or not. :)

alt farms would suck... maybe somebody with the ambition could think of a way round it thouhg, as the idea has its merits..

also, nice to see one of the devs posting on forums while they work on salem

Much like killing hearthlings used to be, make the amount of lp gained dependent on total lp of the dead hearthling, so if it's a total n00b alt character, the parts would give little or no lp. No alt farming.

Stats are relatively easy to gain though. Spam carrots and mussels, those grow/forage so much they become an inventory nightmare. Just spawn an alt, destroy a palisade (wasting stamina, no damage done), drink from a bucket, and spam carrots. Overall, the alt farming becomes an issue at all times, because new characters are free.

The character needs how much strength to break a palisade with bare hands (no tools)? I don't see anyone grinding their alt up that high just to farm it for whatever. In that case, you could use any house, too, as the soak on all of them is over 10, or even the alt's own HF (as long as the alt is under 36 str).
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

geometric average of stats, obviously.
