not sure why you think i hate newbies
and i thought you converted coins to bars in a smelter, not a finery forge
I think CoB should focus on promoting silver or gold coins, as they don't have the problem of quality, so you can say something is 10 coins, and it is always 10 coins, instead of having to worry if the value is low should you charge more coins.theTrav wrote:Chakravanti wrote:For coinage to have practical value that practical value must be reasonably obtainable. I personally, outside of my role as chieftan will sell cow chorizos of varying quality (all above 10, in some cases mid 20's) to anyone who wants them at a cost of 5 copper coins each.
I will sell silk filaments for 10 copper each, threads for 80 copper and whole cloths for spastic high prices or something I'm in demand of.
I'll make you mid level leather gear (quality 30-40) for a negotiable amount of coins.
If you have coins, and want some gear, I will do my best to help you rid yourself of those coins.
The City Of Brodgar also plans on paying people in copper coins for cloth and fiber in the near future.
Is that enough backing for you?
