I think silk egg-hatching timer needs to be fixed before any silk curios are added. 8h for hatching is to damn hard to get around. Silk is probably hated for this annoying little factor. Its rare to be available to move the hatched eggs exactly 8h after you place eggs into tables. And you only have a 4h window after they hatch before you lose your entire silk line.

If the eggs behaved like treepots I would probably make these curios as well. But right now silk is just to damn iffy.

Put them on in the morning before you go to work, take them off 9h later when you get home?
I normally log on in the morning for a few minutes to put curios on anyway

I think that is easier said then done. So many things can go wrong if you leave them in before you go to work or if you putting them in before you go to bed. 8h just is not a logical time as a game play aspect for something that can be destroyed 4h after it comes out. You can get around it but its just doesn't make sense to have the most inconvenient timer just for the sake of having it like that.

I think a lot less trees would be planted in general if tree plantation timers worked the same way as silk egg hatching timers. But in the instance of silk eggs you don't just risk 1 seed, you risk your entire batch of eggs.

Worms die 8 hours after hatching. They survive if they can't find food for the first time giving you 16 hours after putting them on a table.
