Curio spawn.

The principle idea here, prevent foraged items (and personally, anything that spawns) from appearing on claimed land, I like. Reduce the overall effectiveness of large areas of land by claiming them. However, given the current mechanics of the game, that seems like, as others put it, only a method of further discouraging play, due to either the grief/harassment of players who are depriving the region's locals of resources, or simply preventing people from benefiting from controlling a large area.

However, if the game system gets to a point where we can terraform all terrain types into other types, that would seem like a more reasonable way to reach the solution you want. If swamps could be drained, mountains gradually plowed over, rivers filled in, and mudflats grown in, then we could effectively turn huge regions into completely paved empty terrain that lacks any useful features, given time and effort on our parts (or bots parts, whichever).

He apparently doesn't realize you can forage on claimed land, as do the same people who CLAIM the land.

The only problem with this logic, is that this "feature" would still make mass claims a viable mechanic for denying others access to forage products. So it'd still have the same problems of botters/curiofarmers sleeping with their alt building up millions of LP and throwing down several minimaps large of a claim.

As it is right now, atleast you can still forage with trespassing, and it's essentially safe as foraging itself doesn't leave scents and if a claim is big enough it's not likely they'll find the one scent you left to enter the terrain.

Actually it's a good way to gauge how often your area is being foraged, and to prevent you from needing to leave a tres scent every time you want to forage as well.

I always thought there should be some type of strength/authority feature of pclaims, and if I'm foraging up a storm on your pclaim you better stop me or your claim is gonna die. Like literally reduced in size with no LP refunded. If you can't defend it, it ain't yours. Having an alt that was fed curios drop a claim and log in every few days is a lame form of defense that should be beatable by me foraging on your unwalled massive pclaim.
