Argumentum ad hominem refers to dismissal of an argument based on an irrelevant aspect of the author. "Fuck off" isn't an ad hominem, it's a statement. The pony comments weren't dismissive of your question either, they were an insult against you. There is actually a difference.

Completely off topic, but it bothers me how people misuse ad hominem.
