it continues as long as i play on (or till the reset), no matter how many times i die or get raided.

when hafen comes, i hope devs would put some irregular updates time to time.
right now, i understand how they see its pointless to build up anything new or different on the codes they plan to throw away.

OK, if the worlds are temporary, perhaps the new world does not happen unless the gamers work for it?

I can imagine the old Ring of Brodgar rising from the ashes, signaling the opportunity for a vast new world. But how? Where?

After a long and arduous search, the pieces of the puzzle are knit together. What is this? We have to construct a portal to the next world from troll skulls? JOOOOOORRRB!!!!

Bring me his head. The skull of the largest troll of the land shall be the keystone of the archway.

If anything, I think that's too long, and there's a definite niche for a MMO with a 1 or 2 month lifespan. Something in between the dedicated-to-nolifers but malleable Haven and the casual but unchanging theme park of WoW.

OK, for the sake of discussion, let's assume the worlds end. Then why not make this the ultimate, final goal? What might that look like?

I want an endgame strategy. Why should our character(s) end in a fizzle when they can die in a blaze of glory?
