Makes sense, still, there could be some other game birds that are native in germany, pheasants for instance.

Sorry pheasants were brought to Europe from Asia. Partridge however is native. Tjur/Western capercailie were around (at least they were in Denmark so I assume in Germany too since we're close enough that these days the wolves wanders from Germany to Denmark) and black grouse, not to mention the hundreds of others, Geese, ducks, swans all which can be made into food.
Tomato and potato again - import - not native. Even these days tomatoes have to be in a greenhouse. Potatoes comes from South America.
Of course we do already have stuff that didn't exist back then - like tobacco and black/green tea. Herbal tea were here. Chamomile among them
Sooo maybe a chamomile flower next world.
