Also, as their response in other threads show, it doesn't look like they have any intent to correct the massive imba they've created.

Are you clinically retarded, or are those just noises you make for giggles? We have every intention of fixing the LP system, the power curve, the fighting system, and the claims, and I have stated this in more than one thread, just recently I did so in a thread you responded to.

In addition to that, you bring up the general problems of starting location and power-curve failure. We are aware of both and are considering solutions.

Basic reading comprehension? Ovar 9k?

The problem isn't that the game isn't "balanced" it's worse than that. The problem is that several mechanics are fundamentally flawed and need to be redesigned. This is not shit we do overnight (well, actually it is, but we don't work every night), and you will just have to sit your little ass down and wait patiently until we get around to fixing it, which we will do in our own god damned time. When we do fix it I want to hear "Thank you, fantastic dev team!" or "This is good, but this could improve" -- not "Boo-fucking-hoo jorb is mean and doesn't give a shit, and besides he never did anything for Xanadu anyway. That mean man spirited me away with sweet words only to break my heart, and now I spend my life crying on forums about it." If this does not suit you then go play SUCKmydick or whatever the fuck it is you are pining for. I am utterly tired of reading your inane posts on subjects you display a clear lack of understanding of.

Also, sometimes you make good suggestions. Lutfisk, see there's a good -- and fairly original -- idea right there. I, you see, try to avoid letting my personal antipathies cloud my judgment. I suggest you try that.

Grudges can't be held, they aren't physical!

get this drama outa my thread.

Now now, about sacks. I was thinking more along the lines of dirt, sand, and flour because how are those two usually sold in? that's right, SACKS of the stuff. you don't buy handfuls or bucketfuls, you buy SACKS of dirt.

Jackard wrote:Why would you ever want condensers instead of item stacking? They fill the same role but the latter is simpler and has more utility. So, condensers are not only irritating to deal with - you need to build them, you need to carry them, you need to store them, and they only work for certain items - but also redundant.

Inventory and equipment are abstracted. Your character is assumed to have all manner of pouches, belts, rope, pockets, sacks, whatever they need to carry what they do. When you stack an item like seeds, they're not floating in midair or scattered underneath other items - your character is storing them in a separate compartment where they can be retrieved at will. Robes and packs make storing items in this way even simpler, and that is why they grant a bonus!

so, no new container types is what you're saying? different kinds of storage isn't always a bad thing you know. I would very much prefer to store my dirt in a sack instead of a cupboard, mostly because the latter is retarded as hell.

Adding more equipment that alters the size of your inventory = that's alright! Adding more types of "seedbag" containers instead of item stacking = poor design! We've already seen some of the strange problems this causes.

If they want to make a 'sack' just a backpack but a different size, its fine.

A sack of dirt would make more sense than lumps of dirt stacking in the inventory.
