Deleting characters.

The main reason why you can't delete characters is because it wouldn't really be possible. Since characters can actually have permanent effects on the world, they cannot be deleted, since any references to them in the world would be left dangling.

The only thing I could do which would come close to "deletion" would be to just have them removed from the character list in the login screen, and, well... I don't really see why that would be very useful. They're just... there.

you can try to code "suicide character" button from the chara list. You select wich chara suicide, the server Login with that chara and kill him. End of the chara. XD

The decay of the body and stuff like this is..well..don't care. But is nonsense that the chara can't be deleted automatically and this could be a way. Also because is weird spend time to learn swimming and the suicide.

Maybe you can just make it suicide that character and remove their hearth fire(s) then, and also negate the reincarnation of said character?

What happens to a hearth fire when a character dies? Does it persist forever?

it alternates to a normal fire, so you can 'light' it.

Suicide should definately be implemented, imagine going up to a village killing your noob character and leaving it there for someone to find. How ominous. Maybe you could earn wyrm from it?
