log cabin=poor people

mansion=very well off

There could be a lot more diversity between log cabins too... And the cabins we have now look a tad too pristine to my liking. A cabin built in the middle of the woods by one person with an axe and a bone saw should look a lot more shabby.

(Additional idea for the future; maybe log cabins could be customized with modules in the future? I.e. building ovens/chimneys, indoor querns, storage shacks, oudoor cellars... That's how many log cabins I've seen were built. First the house, then additional attachments over time.

I entirely agree; it'd be nice to have more sorts of houses. Even a hut below the log cabin, like one made of branches and boughs, would be nice. Or maybe one with clay.

Those in your picture definitely used stones though. ;)

Edit; huh. Missed the post above. Those look good too; the log cabin looks a bit too modern, too professional indeed. It looks like it was made with chainsaws and the like. Personally, I'd love it if rope was easier to procure and if it was necessary for a log cabin.

Are those wooden chimneys? That doesn't seem like a very good idea to me.

How about this? :) You need 8 boards and shovel. You have 4 tiles just for bed and cupboard.
Oh yes. Shovel.
