We are aware and intend to fix this.

So you get strength for killing, int for planting trees or making food, etc. So far 90% of your time is spent gathering, processing, and eating food. It should be about 30-50% at most.

That's true... one place where realism would be a bit better ignored for the sake of gameplay.
Surprise.

Disagree, the FEP system is a strength, slowing down stat gain wouldn't be a bad thing.

I doubt I spend 90% of my time making food. It's probably around 50-60% of the time. If you're spending 90% of your time on it then you're probably not doing it efficiently enough, if you're low nature go hunting or buy food off farmers. If you're high nature use large fields and multiple ovens.

There are actually advantages - the more I can eat, the faster I can raise my stats. That's one reason I usually move at a run. It does however get tedious when I don't have appropriate stat-raising food on hand, and have to resort to apples.

hopefully they would raise the stat rates proportionally with the increase in fill rates

Sabi is right in so far as level up frequency and nourishment per food unit are two completely orthogonal variables.
