Think of how fat we're all getting with the excess time we spend sitting on our asses! D:

If there wasn't hourglass, every moment of playtime not spent clicking frantically would be a moment wasted, which means that talking to people would put you behind those that don't talk.

People who don't play 16+ hours per day also fall behind...
If someone wants to be asocial and concentrate on powerleveling rather than socializing, then let them, they can play how they want. Also, people who take the time to chat a bit will have more friends and thus will be able to get stuff done faster and better by cooperating. :)
Once a man has changed the relationship between himself and his environment, he cannot return to the blissful ignorance he left. Motion, of necessity, involves a change in perspective.

Well yeah, but there's still that pressure. I mean, I outright refuse to speak to anyone when I have the tea buff active so I don't waste it, this would be the same thing except it's always on.

it would be nice if some things were speeded up. the hourglass doesnt bother me too much though, when i play h&h i only make it fill one half of the screen so i can do something else, mostly working.

Well some things should just be halved. Killing 4 pigs and 2 sheeps means approximately 5~6 hours of making sausages. FUCK THAT.

Yeah, sausages definitely need acceleration. You think your sausage session is bad, but I got 12 rams waiting for processing atm :( Also it should automatically stop butchering when inventory is full, seriously, what the fuck is up with that shit?

The devs, apparently. How else would you explain them wanting to get rid of teleportation?

I'm all for making the game fun and enjoyable, and often times fight against the people who don't want a certain recipe or animal because it's not indigenous to the area or time period. I'm just commenting that I notice more often than not in this very forum, people shooting down ideas left and right not based on how the game plays, but how the supposed addition fits into the supposed era that this game takes place. I just figured that if people freak out because horses didn't exist in Europe, then certainly they wouldn't accept magical instantaneous creation of everything.

It was an example, and a bad one at that.

You can't say that you don't know what I'm talking about though. Some people around here treat this game like a historical simulation and not a game.
