Mine Support/Hive overlay

Postby Hahaohwow » Mon Feb 28, 2011 6:20 am

Basically just a button you can press like the personal/village claim button, to show the radius of a mine support or beehive.

I find myself constantly checking if it's safe to mine the next tile, after a cave in recently that left me with 30HHP. It'd be a lot easier if I could just click a button and know the next tile's safe to mine.

My village leader is working on his own set of custom client and said he enables it to appear when you want it to, meaning it's moddable.

The feature already exists in Enders client.

When, oh when will loftar make a better standard client??

frankly if i was designing a game for two years and it still had some of these issues i would be pretty embarrassed

The dings my gmail-notifier makes every time a new user registers drowns out all those bad feelings. ;) Our philosophy has been to touch it as little as possible until we feel we have a more finished game. There's no point in doing it if we have to redo it again three months down the line.

and dont forget these comments from loftar

loftar wrote:The Salem client (and server) has real support for changing resolution, so I'd like to backport it at some point. (It actually builds on work that I begun for Haven anyway to make the UI much more client-side and therefore generally moddable in other ways as well.)
loftar wrote:It isn't actually JOGL that's inefficient, however, but rather my using it for drawing pure 2D graphics, it seems. The Salem (3D) client runs much, much better.
