So a blacksmithing book can "boost" the potential quality of metal making, but its also based on the quality of the book itself?
How do we make these book "valuable" without making them impossible to get?

Maybe make them require rare materials that functions as curiosities?

Hmm...

What about curiosities that aren't curiosities, but can be fit into the mental inventory and has high attention cost?

They would basically be equipped for the task at hand, and will have NO timer, but also gives no LP at all.
They work alongside tasks, like blacksmithing, hunting, etc.

They can be books, charms, talismans, trinkets etc. that can't be equipped normally (sorta like putting them in your pocket kind of thing).

The Four Leaf Clover. Making it a curiosity can work for minor LP gain or possibly a "lucky" buff that enables you to experience certain circumstances more often?

I think you're getting a bit off-topic. I'm seeing something about metals and "boosts" and Four Leaf Clovers... A lot of stuff that isn't pertinent to this.

We had outlined a way the books could be used in previous posts. There was nothing about "boosts" in there... Although that might be an interesting way to get quality involved, if not to gauge how much it can be used before deteriorating.

Re-read some of the posts, sir; something's getting lost in translation.
