Wouldn't work. There's this thing called a "spy". When you have an unlimited number of alts, you can have quite a few of them. Heck, that's how raiders find their new targets now.

Then create EULA and forbid that. BAN :)
(I wonder how many players would be online ;) )

What people want from the HnH? simulation of life?, RPG?, I guess so. But on the other hand they dont obey main laws of these and I think they do it to be more powerfull, more deadly, the best. It IS Rat Race. So this Hall Of Fame, or Ranking system isn't what they really miss?

And the truth is the big 'kingdom' will win the race. It is so natural that big societes are more civilized, they have politics, laws, government, and.. currency. That's why I suggest to give more real power to the coins (represented by skill boost).
Little settlement might dont need that and trade "goods for furs". Maybe they don't even have access to metal to make coins.
Now - who can raid the big village-"kingdom" if not only another powerfull one? But it is a war, politics. If they do this - they may be counterattacked by allies of the first. They might get bad fame for that, some might not want to trade with them. etc etc

Just ideas :) I'm not fighting for them.

I highly disagree with this idea. This would just cause a bunch of "gold rushes" to become the best of the best. The richest people are not always the best.

The same thing that the players want in every one of these sandbox PvP RPGs: do things that they could never do in real life. Some people take that to mean rape, plunder, and kill. Others take it to mean build big commercial empires. Yet others take it to mean building up a nice, monastic lifestyle sustaining themselves and closest friends. That's just a few of them.

A EULA forbidding spying? How would you enforce it fairly? Think about your "ideas" before posting them. How long have you even been playing sandbox MMOs? (Examples: Eve Online, Ultima Online, Darkfall Online, etc.)

No, nobody misses ranking systems. Those with power know that they have power. Those that don't figure out who it is or just don't care. In fact, modern psychology has proven the benefits and fallacies of ranking systems. Take the Fortune 500 for an example (since you want to deal in 'currency' rankings). Bill Gates is no longer the richest guy in the world for one reason: he's now the world's biggest philanthropist. Someone created a list ranking them, and a lot of the world's richest people and companies gave up portions of their fortunes to get onto that list.

Not really. It's a generality, not a truth. Britain was the 'big kingdom' at one point, Spain at another. Where are they at now? Where's the great Roman, Greek, and Persian empires at?

Little villages and hermit settlements still need metal. Too many things in this game require it. Anyone can make coins with spare metal. There's been quite a few discussions about efficiently using coinage. This isn't world 3 where metal was a very restricted commodity. Anyone with the will can have metal now. It's just a matter of the expenditure of energy and resources.

Just ideas :) I'm not fighting for them.

If it's not worth fighting for, is it even worth discussing? If it's not worth discussing, it's not worth posting in C&I. I like a good brainstorming session. Hold your own and filter out the ones that don't pass the muster before posting them.
