All for more sinks for silver (and gold). The cost is stupid, though. I don't care how common silver is for those that want to find it. Also, there's nothing saying that silver/gold curios can't work like other jewelery and require a goldbeater's skin to craft (thus giving it a quality). Something else that's relatively easy to get in large quantities. Would it be better to make a dozen curios for 50k LP each (just an example) or around 100 curios for a base of 3k each?
And yes, there might be more than a few phallic symbols in the game, but I guarantee the artwork won't get used even if the idea does--see post floating around about "offering assistance". (With that said, it's certainly possible that Jorb uses the idea and uses the basic artwork concept.)
Finally, extremely rare or hard to acquire curios are the only ones with a very high one-time LP value: troll skull, golden egg, singing whale. Those are rare for a reason. It's like winning the lottery. For an advanced village, it's a nice little holiday bonus; for new or less aggressive (in terms of play time per week) players, it can be a major score. When you take something as common as silver, even if you make it "expensive," the only use I can see is making a bunch of these up to try to speed recovery after an untimely death.
