I really love that skulls show the character's real name.

it's a topic because Onionfighter forced it to be one by splitting it off from a different thread. We are just all jazzed as fuck about the skull curio and don;t want it messed with. /me caresses Peter Pain's skull.

I am not arguing against having named skulls. I am against having the name be the actual name instead of the memorized name. For people you don't know, there should be no name. (You should be able to id dead ancestors.)

I am totally with you here. Wasn't it always J&L's intention to create a sense of mystery and doubt by not giving away actual character names unless the player wants it to happen?

Not sure what even made them change it with skulls now. I find it rather boring that they did.

Btw what's up with everyone going ballistic about Onion posting? You made some enemies in Salem or what? ^^

Let's say you have a strong character, and a bunch of other people know your char name, and not all these people are totally friendly to you or your village. If that character is the strongest of your group and he dies somehow, whoever gets his skull can find out his name. This means that you won't be able to keep the death a secret. Now maybe people will know that your village is weakened. This could be important information.

Maybe this doesn't matter to you, but whenever I lost a character, I didn't talk about it on the forums until much later because my group was small and secretive, but also fairly well known on the forums.

how many people use the same name for characters as they do on the forum? like 5%? if you wanna be secretive, don't tell people that character "demetrius dick in the butt" is onionfighter.

My best guess is that people think I am against the skulls themselves (which I think are cool), when I am against the skulls revealing names.

I always thought of HnH having a "Score" screen which indicates all sorts of useless statistics after you're killed (Characters Killed, Scents used), maybe get some statistics of the character to carry into the Skull (excluding the name, stats may appear as ? if your int is too low), and having them be seen only if you have a certain skill?
