Then you changed the basis of your idea. How would the amount heal scale if it scaled at all? Would the travel weariness reduction still be intact? What is a fair healing rate?

Sleeping would heal only your HHP. Travel weariness reduction would also still exist. The scaling would be as follows...

Spruce Bough Bed
Heal 1 HHP per hour

Straw Bed
Heal 2 HHP per hour

Sturdy Bed
Heal 3 HHP per hour

This would make leeches and gauzes still be useful, since beds wouldn't be the best form of healing. Also, players would have to quit the game in order to even obtain this healing, making it not be the best option for some. It does allow for a bit more planning, like wasting a gauze, relying on a leech, or getting some sleep and returning later.

This doesn't do much if anything at all, there is 0 quality scaling making it next to useless late world cycle.

Beds have quality? Or are you replying to something I didn't see, yet you cropped it out of the quote?

yeah i've actually been arguing for beds to heal hhp for a long time. idk about your numbers. stuff like that is always kind of pointless to discuss since jorb and loftar decide it themselves.

I was quoting the post above mine. I'm not entirely sure if beds do have quality but if it's going to regen something which increases, it might as well increase instead of not scaling and being mostly useless late-game.

The reason I'd prefer a buff over healing is because using a bed would still remain situational. With such a minor advantage, the bed already gives a disadvantage, which is revealing a player's logout location. In my opinion, using a bed should be advised upon every logout.
