It takes Way too long to be able to even stand a chance against the weakest of enemies, In my OPINION the combat tutorial threads done make sence along with the descriptions when you learn new combat skills.

all in all i could only suggest for a more player friendly and affective combat system to be held in game, other wise its only the people to spend every hour god sends on the game who are accuallt powerful.

Let me know what you think about it people! :)

Have you ever wondered how Yo Yo Ma got to be
a godlike musician? Right, the Cello's easy and he
picked it up right away...

No. Practice, noob, you wanna have something you
don't have to commit to in order to succeed, typical
male mindset. You are not determined enough to get
to my level, if you tried you'd get dunked on so hard
by every last member of our pro dunk squad.

If you're not smart enough to get that tutorial i'll get
you a new one set up for allllll the noobies. Kay? starting
with JUMPING RAISES YOUR ATTACK BAR! HERP DERP!!!

though a little bit of experimentation ( like the people
that wrote the guides ) would get the basics you need
to fight an ant. Suck fast n swallow slow, week minded
nooby

Retard, as in; your mind is slowing down and you take
so long to process thoughts that normal human beings
do in billionths of a second that people around you feel like
they're being pulled back by the sounds coming out of your
mouth/ words from your computer... Just like the music term.

Ignore for a moment movement combat, who stats, or who can kill bears with their dicks.

The combat system is H is intricate and well thought out. When you have 2 people on equal footing, combat is perfect. To an onlooker it may seem like 2 people are just standing there with little icons over their heads occasionally, but if you're doing it right the players are locked into a delicate balance of maneuvers, abilities, attempts to get ahead in advantage, initiate, an pure wit.

If you're not good at the system, practice will do a hell of a lot more for you than bitching.

If you think the system is bad, go play a different game. There are a few out there with really good graphics that you can just click on what you want to make die that I think you'd be very interested it.
Today is a good day to die.

It's because the weight of Punch is 0.75 * UC, rounded down. Which is 0. So it can't deplete any defense even when the defensive weight is 0.

Because this is still a permadeath game and combat is a big part of death. A combat system where it's literally number v number is, simply put, boring. At best, it's lame. At worst, it allows for mechanics where a singular character is built that is so much larger than any one else that they literally just engage combat and steam roll entire cities. Having a combat system which allows players to input some of their skill into combat makes combat more meaningful because you can shrug off the small numbers. An opponent who has 25% more combat skill is not always going to take away victory. Combat remains dangerous and thrilling for this reason.

When you're more or less guaranteed a win or have no input on the outcome of the battle, then why fight at all?

I have no clue if faster is better or worse. What their experiment will tell us is how it functions in that environment. That'll be neat.

If you can do it with just 5uac and a ~20ql sword, I will eat my hat.

When I was hunting for Emerald City I had 3 mc 3 ua and 11 mm.
I would simply thunder twice in the boat, shoot the animal until it ran then hop out of the boat and sting it... It's not rocket science and you can do it with basically any sword.

Also, all I was using was a bronze sword, bear cape and other random q items. Gear has very little to do with it.
