Gargh. Perhaps I'm not thinking this through well enough. I just got up, and I'll edit this once I gain back any shred of logical thinking I have.

sneaking from cover to cover is real stealth. we don't need invisibility when we have darkness, light, trees, walls, houses and such. we could probably use some more natural cover though, like undergrowth and larger boulders

IF it were possible for them to be non irritating, sound effects could be helpful. running in forest, carts, horses, marching in armor, etc.

Sounds liek darkfall. THat's hard as shit too pull off effectively. haven't talked to my TCO peeps in some time but from what i hear Darkfall did a damn good job of implementing Natural stealth mechancis. WOuldn't ever be possible to do that in a 2d MMO where the lightmap is client sided anyway.

yea

the light thing could be fixed you know but as it is im finding ways around it. its not implemented that well currently
