My original account was registered early-W3. I created this account to try and sell a q60 pearl I got and then just started posting on it instead.

I agree with this, but it should be determined by the beds ql by how much the buff is, an only when you wake up, so a curio that is done over night will get the buff, about the bed ql, a 10 ql bed would give a 10% buff, and 40 ql would give 20% and so on like normal ql system.

The buff you get from tea actually doesn't make much sense. Drinking tea does not make you smarter, nor does it promote learning. Tea has more to do with improving your health.

And you're suggesting that sleeping for a long period of time would help promote better learning than drinking tea?
I do agree that the sleeping system should be improved. Probably just like tables, where you can put symbels to increase FEP gain and hunger modification, with beds you could put misc items to increase the rate for which TW would reduce faster.

I support this idea. :) It sounds perfectly reasonable and balanced just fine in the OP, and like Trenix said, the buff is no substitute for being on and playing, it's just a nice thing to see when you log back in after a good night's sleep. So maybe people wouldn't be so neurotic about staying on 24/7 xD

To those having kneejerk reactions, consider this: How many LP would you gain if you played those 2.5 days vs being offline that time and getting a 15% buff when you come back on for only 1 hour? :P For the hardcore players who would argue against this, it has no negative bearing on how you play, and it's not going to let 'casual' players overtake you in any way shape or form.

Trenix, keep your ideas coming. :) Ideas, from any source, experienced or fresh, always help. Sometimes a fresh mind has the best ideas!

Sorry to see so many haters in here, but don't let them discourage you! :)

Hey, hellkat, trenix has been banned (temporarily at least) for some of his (her?) posts. Don't expect any replies or follow ups any time soon. Bad ideas are bad, and if a person can't accept that and forgets to wear asbestos underwear, bans will eventually happen. (Surprised the threads didn't get sent to Hel.)

It's not a bad idea though. Unfortunately, as I've been browsing the forum since I replied to this, I'm seeing more and more hostility piled on this guy to the point that even his good ideas are treated like venom :/ Blarg. I don't know what he did to incite so much ire, but yeah, keep me out of the drama please >.< I'll try to avoid posting on any of his threads in the future.

I was just trying to say at the time that, from an objective standpoint, it sounded like a reasonable idea to me. And I do still believe so. On the other side of the coin, I can see people wanting to leave it as it is and just use beds for roleplaying purposes, or a convenient spot to log out. Which is also fine. :3

Beds currently serve the purpose of reducing travel weariness. A good enough bed will restore your character to full refreshed (0% TW) in about 8-12 hours. Adding a second ability to that may or may not be a good idea.

The issue is that people just don't use their beds for a lot of reasons. The big one I can think of is that if you log out in your bed, raiders can see that. All they have to do is destroy your hearth fire, destroy your bed,and then drop crates, chests, whatever on where your bed was so that you can't log back in. You can't log in on a position if that position is occupied by anything--player, animal, or furniture (dropped items from a pack are ignored for this check). You then will be forced to spawn somewhere randomly in the wilderness. (This is, as far as I'm concerned, a bug, and will hopefully be corrected in the future.)

Numerous of times I said I didn't care if anyone liked these ideas or not. Everyone else just has to need to insult and get off on it like they've been sexually abused by their parents. You expect me to not respond to insults, which is idiotic. Clearly my words must of been offensive since they were accurate and people must of got annoyed because they've realized their words didn't effect me. I got banned for non-rule breaking reasons which means moderators are abusive and jorb doesn't give a shit, he just laughs.

The fact of the matter is, this game is going in the trash while Salem will take over. Hope to see you guys there, cause paradox interactive will quickly straighten you out. Forums are for people who take things seriously and have something logical to say, possibly making a difference for the game and the community. It's not meant to create flamewars and be a douche bag for no reason.

Good luck with what this game comes out of. The servers wouldn't suck so bad if you guys didn't try to drive everyone away who would of been willing to donate.
Use your head people, you're not thinking straight.

Now I don't know the supposed reason for the ban, but you take this up here if you are interested in trying to dispute why you got banned.

Best of luck =)
