Leanto interaction is too much convoluted

Postby melroim32 » Thu Dec 23, 2010 10:54 am

After building one I tried to insert a spruce bough bed under it but nothing. My char tried to move inside but obviously was blocked by the building. When I right-clicked on the leanto with my bed lifted the two slot interface appeared, while instead whithout anything lifted nothing happens. :?

in the same way, you cant "open" a cart or boat when nothing is in it... I dont understand your problem, but i do know that it is not a bug. you could try posting this in the critique and ideas forum

Yeah I realized now hot it works and it's still not that immediate for me. Should be moved to critique and ideas though.

The leanto is mostly a storage place, for crates, baskets, etc. I was a little confused as well, but figured it out thru experimentation.

If you're confused about anything, there's a wiki here : http://www.havenandhearth.wikia.com.
There should be some things about the lean to in there.

I remember by a begginner and creating the leanto. I could never figure it out and built a bed instead, moved on, and never figured it out till i read this thread. It's much to confusing for begginners. NOT that we should make it easier for them than usual, but i really just dont think the complicated nature of the leanto matches with the simplicity of the reallife thing. It should be crude and simple, thus, simpler to use. Something as complicted as a cart deserves to be more complex.
