They could've taken their type to create a hybrid system that still rewards LP for action done, but only on specific actions that has meaningful experiences.
Botting is basically a macro that repeats a process, so even if you do figure out a way to stop them, it'll only hinder everyone that's not botting.
If you think making players being able to feed on the botters, think again, because botters can do the same.
It's like trying to get rid of your reflection in the water, but you can't.
There could be one way... Bots can only do repetitive stuff right? So make actions that are rarely possible to do, gives heaps of LP still.
You don't see bots hunting animals, nor do you see bots foraging rare stuff. You don't see bots grinding timbercabins and houses, you don't see em constructing expensive stuff for LP.
So make exclusive construction give a one time LP boost per day? Built the first log cabin? Get 1000LP and be able to build a house curiosity. Built a timerhouse? Get 2000 LP and a timber house curiosity for your efforts. Built a Stone mansion? Get 3000 LP, and a stone house curiosity. Built your first mine? Get 1500 LP.
At least reward the players for doing it once per day, in a suitable amount.
