Jungle song

Postby Flyffywambler » Mon Apr 11, 2011 9:56 am

Jingle bells
jungle smells
laggy all the way
it is no fun
passing through
please make it go away

(EDIT: to clarify, "it" refers to the lag, not to the jungle itself)

What is this, I don't even

You mean thickets? They are what they are; a natural obstacle. And they're damn effective at what they do.

I could get behind putting more "stuff" in them... Unique forageables and the like.

But not their removal from the game.

As now, they're only an obstacle for my CPU and nerves. I mean, they're absolutely worthless. They're difficult to cross due to high stamina drain? Yeah, but why should i want to cross them, if there isn't anything worth of attention?

they can actually be really usefull, when people take an attitude such as yours toward them, a little plowing in the middle of a large one, makes a safe home for noobs, or, in an extremely large thicket, you can at least partially conceal a village, which i have seen done.

also good for a mini hearth fort

Let us reflect upon the good he was able to do during his short time in the hearthlands.
Let us remind ourselves of his bravery and willingness to fight for the safety of his friends!
Let us hope he can surpass his previous achievements in his future lives.

You could try to conceal them, yeah. Except that custom clients now permit wider minimaps, not to mention online maps. And you must rely con crossroads for traveling, if you don't want to drink some buckets of water just to get out of there.

I'm not asking for removal of the jungles.
Their stamina drain is great, their existance is great.

I'm only complaining about the lag they cause when you are near jungle terrain.
It's like flying into a major trade hub system in EVE :p

That has something to do with yours and their computers not being the same.. Not luck/risk.
