Tinkerer's hat

Tinkerer's hat, made out of tin bar and a string in an alloying crucible, increases your mentory, adding more slots, depending on its quality, much like a backpack or sack.

nope.everybody would wear it and it would encrourage idling for LP cause if you do stuff you mostly need some kind of headwear, farmers hat for farming, bear cape for mining etc

The mentory should never be able to be expanded.

Sure, because you'd need to keep it on, the way you need to keep yourself drunk on wine.

I disagree.

if the space is taken it becomes the same as a backpack, cant remove it as long as items use its space.

Ah, that's my bad for reading the idea wrong.

In any case, I'm still kinda for it, the Mentory is rather small and easily maxed out, then again it can wait until more curiosities pop up either way. If it was something you had to keep on all the time it would be rather fair, and would not make you idle, but make you choose.

The only thing I hear bad about this is having to choose between a straw hat or cooking hat or such and the tinkerer's hat. Choice is a good thing, if we should have learned something from the merchant's robe, it should have been that we need more choices not a clear winner.

It's a cool idea, but I think the mentory should remain a fixed size. It is already really easy to get a decent amount of LP just with the current size, the ability to expand it would only make it even easier.

Hmmm, shame, came into this thread expecting something for smithing/Jewelry. Tin, Glass, and String giving Int, psy, and Smithing would be pretty boss.
